This was the first doll I designed....I enjoyed the venture and ended up going it to a very special friend.  I'm planning on designing more people and animal figures.

It is well known that crocheting has a calming effect and helps to relieve stress.
It was believed that crocheting helped Queen Victoria cope with the death of her husband.
During the last year of her life, Queen Victoria crocheted eight scarves, given as an award, for her most distinguished soldiers serving in South Africa.  These  scarfs became known as "the Queen's Scarf".  They measured 5 feet long and were worn as sashes over the shoulder and buckled on the opposite hip.

Note.....One of these scarves is on display at the Canadian War Museum.

Caroline is wrapped around a piece of drift wood.  She was crocheted out of cotton yarn and jute.  She's a joy to have around.
